77th Annual AYF Senior Olympics in Philadelphia – September 2-6, 2010


















The Philadelphia “Sebouh” chapter is gearing up to host the 77th Annual AYF Senior Olympics in the heart of downtown Philadelphia this Labor Day weekend, September 2 – 6.

HOTEL:

The Philadelphia Marriott Downtown will serve as the home for this year’s event. The hotel is offering a special rate of $159/night, just be sure to mention AYF when you book! St. Gregory’s Church invites you to Grapes Blessing Picnic and Traditional Herisa – August 14-15, 2010





St. Gregory’s Church invites you to the Grapes Blessing Picnic and for traditional herisa on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the occasion of the Feast of Assumption of St. Mary the God Bearer.  

Preparation for the Madagh will begin at the Seroonian Armenian Community Center on Saturday afternoon, August 14, 2010 with the blessing of the salt and meat with traditional music, Davul Zurna, and shoorch bars. Afterward, a vigil service will start at 8 p.m. at St. Gregory’s Church. Church will be open all night for prayers and candle lighting.

Overnight arrangements are also available for those who want to stay the night at the Church Hall.

CLOSED: Seroonian Armenian Community Center – Summer Break

The Seroonian Armenian Community Center will be closed  be closed for the rest of the summer.  The weekly Friday night dinners will resume after Labor Day Weekend on September 10th for Zahle Night.   Please join us then to kick off another great year at the Seroonian Armenian Community Center.
